Hours policy details

Employment is premised on full time work and consistent progress toward achieving an annual billable hour target of 1850 hours prorated to your start date.  Our lawyers generally work an additional 15-30 hours per month on non-billable matters, including producing articles for our Environmental Newsletter, training, and administrative tasks. Non-billable hours, except pre-approved pro-bono hours, do not count toward your billable hour target. Pro-bono hours do count, to a 100-hour maximum billable hour credit per year. This means most of us work about 50 hours per week or more, which is hard but typical in our profession.
