Allen Matkins offers 1L Diversity Scholar positions. 1L law students who are selected to be an Allen Matkins 1L Diversity Scholar are full participants in the firm’s summer associate program. 1L Diversity Scholars are exposed to a realistic experience of practicing law by providing them with meaningful work and responsibilities. They will work side-by-side with experienced attorneys in our various practice areas, while also gaining valuable insight into the firm operations, our client service, and our one-firm culture. 1L Diversity Scholar recipients receive enhanced mentoring to ensure they have a successful summer. 1L Diversity Scholars spend up to 10 weeks in our office and are paid the same weekly salary as our 2L summer program participants.
