Additional comments (Please use this space to provide any additional information about your organization's pro bono program including any special recognition or awards the organization has received for its pro bono work.) |
A primary goal of Wiley's pro bono program is to offer its attorneys broad opportunities in matters that best allow them to make a difference. Our representations over the past decade include noteworthy cases (cases with sweeping potential ramifications or those requiring significant resources), cases handled on behalf of individuals referred through legal service providers with whom we have developed close relationships, as well as a diverse category of other matters appealing to the individual interests, strengths and ideals of our Wiley pro bono participants. |
What are some of the areas in which your organization has performed pro bono work in the past year? |
The firm’s pro bono program has close working relationships with many legal service providers in the community. Areas of regular pro bono effort include landlord tenant, family law, social security benefits, consumer law, immigration, veterans’ benefits, prisoners’ rights, appellate litigation, first amendment matters and more complex class actions. In addition to these areas, we have also performed pro bono work in 2022 involving matters of racial justice, child welfare, and disability rights in education. We also encourage our lawyers to become involved in whatever other pro bono activities they have a passion to pursue. |
