Community and pro bono service is highly encouraged at Lowndes and is part of the firm culture. The firm has been the recipient of the Orange County Bar Association's Law Firm Award of Merit for its significant commitment to pro bono work. Lowndes is also consistently listed as a top pro bono and community service law firm by the Orlando Business Journal. Many attorneys have been recognized by the Orange County Bar Association and non-profit organizations for their significant pro bono contributions in the community. Shareholders Richard Dellinger, Jon Gibbs, Brendan Lynch, Melody Lynch, and Laura Walda were honored with the Inaugural Ninth Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Merit Award, which recognizes attorneys who have provided significant pro bono legal assistance to those unable to afford legal counsel. Shareholder Melody Lynch, who served as the 2018 President for the Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association, is a past recipient of the AFP National Philanthropy Day Emerging Leader award and the Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association’s New Attorney Award of Excellence. Shareholder Richard Dellinger was awarded the Lawrence G. Mathews, Jr. Professionalism Award by the Orange County Bar Association, which recognizes an attorney whose conduct and career stands as a model of success built on unquestioned professionalism.
