When should 1Ls apply? In offices with 1L Summer Associate Programs, students should apply online after December 1. Annually, Dentons US LLP participates in the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) 1L Scholars Program. The LCLD 1L Scholars Program is designed to strengthen the legal pipeline by expanding the number of opportunities for diverse first-year law students. The Dentons LCLD 1L Scholar is part of a robust summer program that provides the opportunity to work side-by-side with some of the world’s most talented lawyers on real client matters. Additionally, the LCLD 1L Scholars Program also includes a retreat for all participating scholars and the chance to participate in the LCLD’s Law School Mentor Program. For the past few years, LCLD scholars have been part of the Chicago Office Summer Associate Program. Dentons US LLP also has a Patent Prosecution 1L Program in our Denver, San Francisco and Silicon Valley offices. 1L Patent Prosecution Summer Associates are integrated into our multi-office team and work side-by-side with some of the world’s most talented lawyers on real matters for real clients. In addition to work assignments on cutting edge technology, the summer program includes a mentorship program and training sessions specifically designed for young lawyers.

Each year, Dentons US LLP hires talented law students through Firm events, on-campus recruiting, judicial clerkships, joint degree programs, job fairs, resume collections, and write-in/online candidates.
