Other Compensation Prior summer associates who have accepted offers of employment as future associates will receive a $7,500 stipend to assist with their transition from law school to the firm.

For associates who join the firm after completion of a judicial clerkship following their graduation from law school, we offer the following bonuses:

$40,000 – Federal Court of Appeals
$25,000 – Federal District Court
$10,000 – Highest State Appellate Court
$50,000 – 2+ years of federal court clerkships (at least 1 year each at a district court and a court of appeals)

Comments Associate compensation is comprised of a base salary and a bonus. Associates are eligible for a Performance Bonus, which has a discretionary component and an hours component (which is calculated by a specific formula), and a Business Generation Bonus.

Parental leave or family care policy

Does your organization have a written parental leave or family care policy? Yes
Comments Non-partner lawyers (associates, attorneys, counsel and of counsel) are entitled to 16 weeks of fully-paid parental leave relating to the birth of a newborn or the placement of an adopted child ("birth or placement"). In addition to 16 weeks of fully-paid leave, non-partner lawyers are entitled to 8 weeks of unpaid leave relating to birth or placement. Non-partner lawyers may take parental leave within six months before or after the birth or placement.

To allow for greater flexibility to meet family needs, non-partner lawyers may defer 8 weeks of the 16 weeks of paid leave beyond the six-month window, so long as the deferred leave is taken consecutively; within 5 years of birth or placement; and while the individual is a non-partner lawyer.
