NARRATIVE |
PHILOSOPHY. At Benesch, Friedlander, Coplan & Aronoff LLP, we believe the practice of law requires expert advice, vigorous advocacy and thoughtful counseling. Each associate is hired with the expectation that his or her skills, imagination and ingenuity will be applied with the kind of enthusiasm required to obtain the best results possible for our clients. Our team-oriented approach translates into a work environment that is both professionally rewarding and congenial.
PRACTICE. We represent a wide range of clients, from multinational public corporations to high growth, middle market companies. We have assisted in the progression of a number of clients from small start-up companies into large enterprises. While the Firm maintains a strong presence in Ohio, many clients are headquartered elsewhere in the country and have operations around the globe, making our practice national and, in some instances, international in scope. Our practice includes the areas of Corporate/Loan Transactions, Litigation, Intellectual Property, Real Estate & Environmental, Business Reorganization, Estate Planning & Probate, Employee Benefits, Tax, Labor and Employment, Public Law and Health Care.
SUMMER ASSOCIATE PROGRAM. Summer associates at Benesch receive a variety of work, both in terms of substantive areas of law and in the types of projects assigned. Educational and training programs, both formal and informal, are provided and go hand-in-hand with the benefits of direct work experience. Summer associates experience and participate in every aspect of the firm as part of their training. They have immediate contact with clients and are involved in strategy, negotiating and drafting sessions as well as business development meetings. The Summer Associate Program provides an excellent opportunity to gain an understanding of how law firms work, including client interaction, courtroom activities and overall attorney interaction.
WHY BENESCH? Each associate at Benesch is encouraged to develop his or her own client base and is provided training and resources to be more effective in his or her respective practices. Associate responsibilities range from participating in complex transactions as part of a team to working independently on basic legal matters. We believe we offer a sophisticated, entrepreneurial practice in an extremely livable, affordable environment.
OUR CORE VALUES. The following principles consistently guide our lawyers and staff in the successful pusuit of client's interests and the advancement of the Firm:
- Honesty, trust, integrity, and ethical behavior in all our actions.
- Excellence, competence, and responsiveness in serving our clients.
- Innovative and collaborative solutions for our clients.
- Mutual respect, candor, teamwork, and civility in our interactions.
- Accountability and meaningful contributions to the ongoing success of the Firm.
